Emerging Technology #3

As Twitter proclaims, Twitter is a service for friends, family and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?
I first learned about Twitter while listening to the radio. The Scotty Show, 100.9, happened to be talking about Twitter so I decided to take a look at it. I am not completely sold on Twitter. I have been a member for about six months now, and I still cannot figure out how to leave messages for people. To be honest, I haven’t really looked too hard.
It seems that Twitter is taking over our lives. Every time I listen to the radio, they mention; when I watch television, they mention it; and when I talk to some of my friends, they are talking about it.

Communication and Social Networking:
This time, I decided to explore Facebook. Facebook has allowed me to get back in touch with a lot of people that I went to high school with. It is a social networking site and is very user friendly. You make a profile and can share it with only the people that you want to see it.
Your profile can consist of your place of employment and present/past schools. This makes it easy to search for people that you may have went to school with and people you work with. If you are looking to find people that you haven’t talked to in a while, or just want to keep up with what your friends are doing, this is an excellent website to this on. Emerging Technology # 1
Podcasting:
A podcast is an audio or video file that is distributed worldwide. It can be syndicated, subscribed to and downloaded automatically when new content is added. Podcasting is a relatively new technology that can be very useful for teaching and sharing information amongst peers.
I learned how to make a podcast from the Apple website:

This is the first time that I have tried to make a podcast. I have learned the basics; however it will take some time for me to completely master making them. The above mentioned website was very useful and I encourage you to check it out.

-Simple is sometimes the best
