Emerging Technology #3

Microblogging:

As Twitter proclaims, Twitter is a service for friends, family and co-workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

I first learned about Twitter while listening to the radio. The Scotty Show, 100.9, happened to be talking about Twitter so I decided to take a look at it. I am not completely sold on Twitter. I have been a member for about six months now, and I still cannot figure out how to leave messages for people. To be honest, I haven’t really looked too hard.

It seems that Twitter is taking over our lives. Every time I listen to the radio, they mention; when I watch television, they mention it; and when I talk to some of my friends, they are talking about it.

  3. I did Twitter as my last emergent technology and I love it! I am 39 years old and didn't know much about technology until this class and I found twitter to be the easiest program of all the ones I worked on. I will be honest and tell you that I did not add my cell phone number to it for fear of charges on my phone but once I am in a position to do so, it could work very effeciently for me and my time restraints. Good to know someone else tried Twitter too!
